April 2026 Release Notes

Hello and welcome! This April, TSOLife made some enhancements to the platform that are designed to improve functionality of key features and optimize important workflows. So, without further ado, let's take a look at what's new and what's been updated!

Introducing Calendar Auto-Scaling

Calendars fill up fast, but we're always on the lookout for new ways to present events and activities that are easy on the eyes and efficient on the printing. That's why we have just released auto-scaling, a small but mighty tool that assists with optimizing calendar space and adding a little pizzazz to your prints.

To give you an idea of what we're talking about, here's a small sample of what your monthly calendars will look like with auto-scaling:

The big thing here is that you'll notice that there is now an indentation when an activity extends to two lines. This helps to clean things up and create a bit more visual appeal.

Auto-Scale for Monthly Calendars

Auto-scale is automatic for monthly calendars, so there's nothing you'll have to do there. You'll notice that the Font Size dropdown menu has been removed, as it is no longer necessary with auto-scaling!

Auto-Scale for Weekly and Daily Calendars

Auto-scale will be the new default setting for weekly and daily calendars, but you will have the option to change it to a specific font size if you wish. You can do this by clicking into the Font Size menu dropdown listed below:

Bold Event Times

Another little nugget that we have included with this release is the option to embolden your event times. Here's a sample of what utilizing bold event times could look like for your calendars:

This is a new feature for monthly calendar printing that is turned off by default, but can be easily be enabled in the Select Print Options menu or in the Calendar Toggles when customizing the calendar for printing:

Important Note: Bolding the event times will remove the hyphen that appears between the time and the activity title. So, for example, bold and unbolded activities will appear as such:

Activity Title Bold Event Times Turned On or Off
9:30 AM Arts & Crafts Turned On
9:30 AM - Arts & Crafts Turned Off

New Care Type Filter For Family Accounts

Another small but pivotal addition is the inclusion of a care type filter for family member accounts. Now when you go to Accounts > Family, you will find the new filter available at the top of your screen, where you can browse accounts by one or multiple care types:

Resident Profile Birthday Visibility Toggle

A new toggle is available when editing a resident's profile that gives you the option to hide their birthday from public-facing views. This could include calendars and digital signage.

To access the toggle, head on over to Accounts > Residents > [Resident] Details > Edit Resident Info. The new toggle is Date of Birth Visibility, and it is set as Visible by default:

Mass Communication Filter Relocation

When you access a deployed broadcast and select the Analytics tab, you'll find that the filters for Broadcast Recipients have been moved down in the page. This is strictly a relocation and there is no change in the functionality:
