Resident Engagement Plans

Resident engagement plans serve as an important tool for elevating the quality of life of residents living in your community. Located within each resident profile, these engagement plans provide a personalized approach to encouraging social care within your community.

Information for these plans is captured during the interview process and as well as through event attendance trends. In essence, they provide a game plan for residents to continue to enjoy an enhanced quality of life by pinpointing proactive solutions for them within the community.

PDFs are generated each month with a breakdown of each resident's engagement, potential friend matches, changes in their BBQ score, and their most impactful activities for the month.

Specifically, engagement plans can:

  • Prioritize resident social and emotional well-being alongside clinical needs
  • Reduce social isolation
  • Improve quality of life
  • Generate discussion during doctor visits as part of an encompassing care strategy

To access a resident's current engagement plan, first jump to that resident's profile. Toward the top of the profile, you'll find a button labeled Engagement Plan:

Clicking it will generate a pop-up menu with an additional option for downloading an internal or external engagement plan:

What's the Difference Between Internal and External Engagement Plans?

Both plans provide the same information, but are presented in different ways for separate audiences:

  • Internal Engagement Plan: Includes friend matches with residents around the community. Geared toward community associates and staff.
  • External Engagement Plan: Includes friend matches represented as numerical data; does not include names or personal information of other community residents. Geared toward sharing with people outside of the community.

Sample Resident Engagement Plan

Resident engagement plans will typically cover two pages. Let's take a look at a sample plan and break down the key elements.

Key Elements:

  1. Self-Rated Scores: Self-reported assessments that focus on how a resident interprets their own quality of life and health. Based on the most recent data within the system. Read more about this quality assessment by clicking here.
  2. Brunnsviken Brief Quality of Life Scale (BBQ): Identifies areas of a resident's life where importance is high but satisfaction is low. Based on the most recent data within the system. Read more about this quality assessment by clicking here.
  3. Friend Matches & Common Interests: Internal view of the top matches within the community. The number you see on the potential match's profile image represents the percentage of interests that they have in common with the resident of this engagement plan. For example, Bruce Allen and Marie Ghio have 25% of total interests in common.
  4. Most Impactful Activities for November: Takes into account the resident's quality of life data and matches it against events on the calendar that will be of most significance. In the above example, resident Bruce Allen rates Friendship as a 2, indicating low satisfaction, but rates its importance to him as a 4. The system has analyzed the calendar against these quality of life metrics to find impactful activities for Bruce that will target improvement for this area of his life. This section features the top five most impactful activities for the month.

  1. Resident's Activity and Attendance: Listing of the top five most impactful events that the resident attended during the prior month. Using this data can help identify trends over time and continue to develop opportunities to improve a resident's overall quality of life.
  2. Engagement Breakdown: Details the total amount of events attended by the resident during the previous month, and further breaks the data down by event type and, if applicable, dimensions that your community has identified.
  3. Resident App Engagement Metrics: If residents are utilizing the resident app, this section provides high-level additional engagement information, including custom events that the resident created and attended, how many friends they have in the app, how many messages were exchanged, and how many photos they were tagged in.
