The Dining Calendar feature is designed to help you easily build and manage dining menus that can be displayed via digital signage and apps. Quickly set meal schedules, enter menu items, print daily menus, and showcase your dishes which can ultimately help boost communication and drive sales.
To get started, select the Engagement menu and click on Dining Calendar:
You'll arrive onto the following screen where you can click on Dining Settings to access location settings:
To add a New Dining Location:
- Click on Add Dining Location
- Enable the Meal
- Fill in the Required Fields
- Enter the Location Name
- Enter the Meal Name
- Set the Start Time and End Time
- Choose a Location Color (this will only appear on your TSOLife dashboard)
- Select the Care Types associated with this dining location
Click Save Changes.
How to Add Menu Items:
- Select the Day and Meal
- Click on the day and meal you want to edit
- Enter Menu Items by typing each menu item on a separate line
- Click Save Changes to update the menu
Once menu items have been added, the meal color will change. This helps you quickly see which meals have items added at a glance.
How to Print Your Dining Menus
- Ensure you are in Day View, as menus can only be printed from this view
- Use the arrow buttons to move between different days
- Stop on the day for which you want to print the menu
- Use the available filters to customize your menu selection. You can filter by Care Type, Location, and Meal to narrow down the menus
- Click the Print Meal Schedule button
- A PDF file will automatically download to your desktop
How to Display Menus on Your Digital Signage
There are two options for displaying menus within Digital Signage:
- All Meals: Displays all enabled meals throughout the entire day. Menus will automatically update to the next day's meals at the end of the day.
- Meals By Time: Displays only the current meal being served based on the time frame you set. The menu will automatically change throughout the day to reflect the current meal.
Follow these steps to configure your menus within Digital Signage:
- Make sure you have already added menu items before proceeding
- Go to Engagement in the menu and click on Digital Signage
- Find the TV where you want to display menus and click Edit next to the selected TV
- Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and locate the Dining Menus section
- Toggle ON the displays you want to show
- No need to manually save—your selections will be applied automatically
